"One of the greatest challenges of our age is to retain a sense of wonder and awe about people and the world around us. To be a success is to remain curious and open to life, to live honestly and learn enthusiastically. Success is found in a life based on integrity, purpose, faith, love, creativity, humor, compassion, service, and accomplishment. To be a success is to be a blessing in the lives of people encountered every moment of each and every day. It is measured in the quality of one's friendships, choices and priorities. It is a choice renewed every day."
~these words are not mine, but the tag of an email I received. Yet these words gave me cause to consider, "How do I measure my success?"
I agree, it can be a challenge to embrace the wonders of the world around us. It is easy to allow the busyness of everyday life to consume us and steal the joy and wonder that comes with taking the time to live fully the life we have been given. It takes time and a heart still fresh of God's wonder to embrace with honesty and enthusiasm the people in our lives and as well as the world around us. As I draw near to God my wonder is made fresh. I see life and view success through His lenses.
These are good thoughts and a reminder to me to renew my choice each day to be blessed to be a blessing to others!
